VILLAGES OF GARRISON CREEK

NEWSLETTER

MAY 2025

PAVEMENT

  • Please watch out for ducks — especially the stupid ones that have started sleeping on our streets at night.
  • Then, too, we’ve had some recent near-death experiences at the intersection of Myra Road and Garrison Village Way . . . so please be careful out there!
  • I’m told that small pedestrian crossing signs will be going up near The Gazebo; that’s why I’m keeping my eyes open for small pedestrians.
  • Yes, some of our sidewalks got a little bumpy this winter; please walk carefully until we get those smoothed out.

PLANS

  • The Board will be meeting with village leaders to plan budgets and budget plans; we’ll keep you posted.
  • We’re meeting in May with Mill Creek Developments to see how we split up the cost for maintenance and repairs on Garrison Village Way.
  • And we’ve begun long-term talks with the City of College Place about our potable water system — and by “long-term,” we mean “expect an answer in a couple of years.”

PAYMENTS

  • HOA dues are due on the first of each month. (But you may want to drop your check in the mail a week or so earlier.)
  • Use payHOA to request repairs on lawn sprinklers and the like; learn how by sending an email to info@villeagesofgarrisoncreek.com.

PARKS

  • We’ve ordered repairs on Bridge #3 — but you may want to avoid it until they get done.
  • And in a couple of weeks, we’ll start landscaping around the new Backflow Preventer in Village 1.
  • We’re in the process of turning on the irrigation system for all those front-yard sprinklers and public areas out there; unfortunately, we’re also in the process of finding out just how much winter damage needs to be repaired before we can do this. (Sigh.)
  • Please get in touch if you know of any way to keep squirrels from digging in flower beds. (Asking for a friend.)
  • We’re looking for somebody to drive the big mower for a couple of hours each week; let us know if you’re interested at info@villagesofgarrisoncreek.com
