ROAD CLOSURE ANNOUNCEMENT
The General Contractor for the Many Waters LLC subdivision being developed north of Garrison Village Way and the City of College Place have informed us (not asked us) that they plan to begin connecting water from the College Place water main underneath Garrison Village Way on Friday, March 29. The City of College Place does have an easement at this site.
This will cause a shutdown of a portion of Garrison Village Way; we believe near Quail Run and Garrison Village Way. The contractor will put up roadblocks and detour signs to re-route traffic around the water tie-in site, so pedestrians and vehicles can travel between our Larch Street and Myra Road entrances.
The CP Public Works director has said that a staff member from their department will be on-site to oversee this process. We are also being told that no VGC water will be turned off during this process. They hope to complete this work in one day and re-open GVW through traffic. Other tie-ins will follow but are not scheduled.
College Place Police and Fire Department were not notified by the general contractors of this closure of GVW, but we did.
